A Sustainable and Stylish Festive Season with EAST, Hong Kong

Reclaiming décor and gourmet indulgence in Asia, the Hong Kong hotel, EAST, Hong Kong has announced their Christmas lineup to see out 2018 in sustainable style.

With the festive season in full swing, the city-centre hotel is encouraging playfulness and individuality with its guests and their loved ones with eco-conscious decorations and lively celebrations everyone will enjoy.

EAST will reintroduce their Christmas Village, which started in 2014, and sees the hotel finding creative ways to recycle resources into previously disused objects. For this year’s decorations, the EAST team scavenged the city’s streets, collecting fallen logs from Typhoon Mangkhut, which will be crafted into chic Christmas decorations. For these creations, the team collaborated with students from Jockey Club Sarah Roe School (JCSRS) – the only school in Hong Kong to deliver an English curriculum to students with additional learning needs.

Christmas will bring some delectable sweet desserts and cookies to help make the season merry and bright.

EAST’s bustling café, Feast (Food by EAST) will compliment the eco-decorations with a festive feast on 24 and 25 December with sittings from 5:45-8:00pm and 8:30-11:00pm. The atmosphere will encourage social dining and evoke a celebratory feel. The unlimited menu will be served semi-buffet style, with a variety of antipasti, such as freshly shucked oysters and king crab legs. Main course options include traditional favourites, such as Slow-Roasted Turkey with Sausage, Sage and Chestnut Stuffing and Sautéed Brussels Sprouts with Bacon as well as Roasted grass-fed beef tenderloin with Roasted Bone Marrow, French Beans, Green Peas and Hand-cut Chips and more.

The Feast Christmas menu will be priced at HK$728 per adult and HK$364 for children under 12. Children will also receive a special gift when coming to the buffet.

On New Year’s Eve, the restaurant will have a specially curated menu, priced at HK$668 per person and HK$334 for children under 12. FeastNYE indulgences will take place from 6:00-10:30pm on 31 December with gourmet highlights including Whole Poached Boston Lobster with Truffle Mac n Cheese, Roasted Grass-fed Beef Tenderloin with Roasted Bone Marrow and Hand- cut Chips and more.

The savoury delights at EAST, Hong Kong, will make the meal extra special for friends and family to enjoy during the holidays.

After dinner on New Year’s Eve, Sugar (Bar.Deck.Lounge) – EAST’s vibrant rooftop bar, will raise the tempo of the evening and carry guests through the strike of midnight, with the theme of “City of Stars”. Drawing inspiration from the box office hit, La La Land, the night will combine fabulous cocktails, jazzy tunes, and sweeping views across the city.

Enjoy the festive season this year with sustainable and eye-catching events found at EAST, Hong Kong. For reservations, please contact Feast (Food by EAST) at festiveatfeast@east-hongkong.com or call +852 3968 3777, and Sugar (Bar.Deck.Lounge) at festive@sugar-hongkong.com or call +852 3968 3738.
