Belmond Welcomes Adam Handling as their New Executive Chef at Belmond Cadogan Hotel
Belmond Cadogan Hotel in Chelsea is excited to welcome their new Executive Chef to its new flagship London property opening winter 2018, Adam Handling, to inspire an innovative journey in Belmond.
Tipped by Caterer magazine as one of the “30 under 30 to watch”, Handling holds an energetic passion for traditional British cuisine with a modern twist and places sustainability and zero waste at the core of his philosophy.
Adam Handling is Scottish born and began his career at Gleneagles as their very first trainee. He rose to his title by marrying daring flavours with out-of-the ordinary culinary techniques to creating balanced and harmonious dishes that are completely unique and designed to leave an impression. He ventured to open his first independent restaurant in June 2016 called The Frog E1 in Shoreditch, and his first flagship restaurant, Frog by Adam Handling, in Covent Garden in September 2017.
Adam has been nominated as Scottish Chef of the Year in 2015, and his restaurants have won the Best Restaurant of the Year in Food & Travel Reader Awards 2017 and Best Fine Dining Restaurant in the Foodism100 Awards 2018.
As the Executive Chef, Handling will oversea all the food and beverage operations at Belmond Cadogan Hotel, including the main restaurant featuring an open kitchen so guests can see Handling work on artful dishes, The Bar and Terrace offering drinks and lighter bites curated by Handling and his team, and the Tea Lounge that will serve Handling’s specialty crafted tea service.
Belmond Cadogan Hotel is just 54 rooms and brings an “intimate” home feeling in the heart of the city. Guests will have access to a private garden in the spring and summer for a mini escape from the city to welcoming fireplaces in the wintertime for a warm retreat.
