Celebrate Alila Anji’s 2nd Anniversary with a Sensational Dining Experience

Alila Anji will honour its two-year anniversary with an exciting pop-up event in collaboration with Light & Salt, Shanghai’s leading lifestyle dining concept group.

This sensational pop-up dining event was launched for media and invited guests the first week in July and will be histed again for public booking on 13 and 14 July. Light & Salt is known for enlivening Shanghai’s dining scene with its clever F&B offerings and bespoke locations everyone loves to visit. Alila Anji’s Local Head Chef Jason Zhu will be collaborating with Chef Johnston Teo, who heads up The Pine at Rui Jin, to create a feast that fuses local Anji flavours with a fine dining concept.

Chef Jason Zhu brings his past and present together to Alila Anji’s farm-to-table cuisine for an authentic and fresh meal.

Chef Jason combines 12 years of Chinese culinary experience with his own creative spin to inspire Alila Anji’s farm-to-table cuisine offering a true taste of Anji County.

Malaysian-Chinese Chef Johnston of The Pine at Rui Jin has years of experience working in some of the best restaurants in the world, including two Michelin-starred restaurants in Singapore, Odette and Iggy’s. His creative philosophy of “less is more” combines contemporary Western cooking techniques with its use of local seasonal ingredients.

Malaysian-Chinese Chef Johnston will bring a “less-is-more” philosophy with combining different techniques and locally ingredients together.

This perfect duo has prepared a menu for three events from 1 to 3 July as a launch weekend before public booking. Beyond the launch weekend, Alila Anji will continue to serve the Pine menu until the end of August. Each event was exclusive and limited to 16 guests taking place in the Alila Living Room, a private setting with a lifestyle ambiance.

This collaborative meal is picture perfect and fresh for truly a refreshing and brightening meal.

As a first of many collaborations for Alila Anji’s line-up of regular pop-up events throughout the year, this will surely bring any foodie back for more. Guests can book ahead for this special anniversary package at CNY 4,596 nett, or approximately USD 695 nett, which includes a two-night stay and one Light & Salt dinner for two persons available on Friday or Saturday from 13th July to 1st September 2018. Reservations for dining seating are recommended when booking the package.
