Experiencing Authentic Culture with a Durian Tasting at Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort

Guests at Anantara Uluwatu Bali will be immersing themselves in a new culinary adventure with a durian tasting session in the new complementary daily complimentary activities.

When guests stay at Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort, everyone always has something to do that will keep everyone busy during their vacation. From relaxing in the infinity pool enjoying the colourful sunsets to the many activities set up, such as coconut leaf weaving, batik painting, ceramics making or learn the graceful movements of the authentic Balinese Dance, there is something for everyone at any age.

A new authentic local experience guests can try and complementary for in-house guests is a durian tasting session throughout the durian season. From November to January, tasting sessions will be held every Tuesday or Sunday at 4:00pm on the garden lawn. Guest can try fresh bite-size durian and will also be given gloves to avoid any lingering odour.

Looking and smelling deadly at first sight, durian is the King of Fruits and is known not only for their smell, but also their delicious flavour unattainable anywhere else.

Durian is the Kind of Fruits and indigenous to Southeast Asia. Notoriously known for its pungent smell, the fruit itself is sweet, rich and creamy. While more and more hotels are banning durian entirely from their resorts entirely, Anantara encourages guests to simply try it and see what all the fuss is about.

Anantara is a luxury hospitality brand for modern traveller and connects them to the indigenous, grounds them into authentic luxury, and host them with passionate expertise. There are over 35 stunning hotels and properties one can visit with Anantara, inlcuding Anantara Uluwatu Bali.
