It’s a crab season! Feast on a sumptuous spread of crustacean delights at Melt Café, as Mandarin Oriental, Singapore presents ‘A Crab Affair’ from 16 June to 2 July 2017.
Upon your visit, say hi to an array of the freshest catch served on a bed of ice, and indulge in endless appetising crab options from Tasmanian spanner crab, Canadian stone crab claw, Asian mud crab, to Alaskan King crab. For a modern twist, savour the yuzu marinated crab gâteaux served with avocado, tobiko and organic cress. If you are keen for aromatic Asian flavours, the much-loved Singaporean-style black pepper crab, salted egg yolk soft-shell crab and tantalising Thai stir-fried flower crab, tossed in the wok with fiery and flavourful tom yum then garnished with basil and lemongrass are ready to be served specially for you.
Over at the live noodle station, try out the inviting bowl of Hainanese Crab Noodles made a la minute by the chefs. Choose from silky Ipoh rice noodles or a crispy noodle ball, served in a clear broth and topped with golden mushrooms and Chinese chives, for more bite. Their lunch-time is from 12 to 2.30 PM from Monday to Saturday and 12 to 3 PM on Sundays.
