Bringing the authentic Thai delights, Le Meridien Jakarta has set the entrance for guests to experience the Thai Food Festival, with various traditional treats from the creation of Guest Chef Mama Duu of JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa, Thailand.

The grand opening of the Thai Food Festival was held on October 1, 2018 at La Brasserie Restaurant. by Mr. Kanit Sangmookda, General Manager Le Meridien Jakarta and Mrs. Jiraporn Sudanich, Deputy Chief of Mission from Royal Thai Embassy have enthusiastically inaugurated the event. Marking their presence, the grand opening of Thai Food Festival was attended by numbers of special guests, such as Mrs. Busakorn Prommanot, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand and Weerawat Swasdibutra, General Manager Indonesia of Thai Airways as well as many other nobles.

Guest Chef Mama Duu is a very skilled chef who has crafted a 30-year experience of Thai authentic cuisine. Embodying love and passion, Mama Duu presents various exotic Thai dishes by combining her newest innovations while also retaining the traditional cooking styles. The Thai Food Festival is held from October 1, 2018 until October 21, 2018 at La Brasserie Restaurant.

Thai Food Festival also offers various dining experience options, such as Every Day Lunch & Dinner Buffet, One Night in Bangkok, Thai Cuisine Discovery and Luncheon- Power Lunch. For Everyday Lunch & Dinner Buffet, Chef Mama Duu take the guests to a delightful journey across Thailand. Some of the cuisine guests could indulge in are Gaeng Kiew Wan Nua, Green Curry with Beef, Eggplant and Basil, Gaeng Karee Moo, Yellow Curry with Potatoes, Sauteed Mixed Vegetables and the very sought-after Thai dessert, Mango and Sticky Rice. The buffet for lunch is available from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m every day and is priced at IDR 375,000 ++ per person for Mondays to Saturdays, whereas a charge of IDR 415,000 ++ per person will be incurred on Sundays.  The dinner buffet will be available from 6 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. and is priced at IDR 395,000 ++ per person every day.

One Night in Bangkok is another unique experience of the event which will be held by the pool side of Le Meridien on October 5, 2018 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Guests are taken on a walk through the traditional Thai street food. The expanse will be set with carts that will showcase the dishes prepared by Chef Mama Duu. One Night in Bangkok dining experience will be priced at IDR 275,000 ++ per person and IDR 395,000 ++ including free flow beer.

Thai Cuisine Discovery opens up an opportunity for guest to learn the art of making the Thai delights.Not only inviting the guests to indulge in the sumptuous delights of Thai, the event offers a Master Class for Thai food cooking demo. Thai Cuisine Discovery will be held on October 11, 2018 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and is priced at IDR 375,000 ++ per person including buffet lunch, as well as on October 14, 2018 form 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the price of IDR 415,000 ++ per person including buffet lunch and alcoholic beverage.

Collaborating with Whats New Jakarta in redefining Thai culinary indulgence, Le Meridien invites guests to enjoy Chef Table with special dishes prepared by Chef Mama Duu through Luncheon-Power Lunch which will be held on October 18, 2018 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at IDR 375,000 ++ per person.
