“Jelajah Indonesia”, a Sumptuous Journey of Archipelago at Seasonal Tastes


Celebrating the extravagant abundance of delicacies in the archipelago, The Westin Jakarta, part of Marriott International Inc., proudly presents “Jelajah Indonesia”, at the tranquil Seasonal Tastes restaurant.

The fascinating hands behind “Jelajah Indonesia” are Chef Ragil from NUSA Indonesia Gastronomy and Chef Denny Boy Gunawan, Executive Sous Chef of The Westin Jakarta. The adventurous Chef Ragil is known for his endowment in elevating the locally-sourced ingredients into a range of flavorsome delights. Chef Denny on the other hand, is an innovative chef who is identified by his creativity in promoting Progressive Sundanese Cuisine using modern cooking techniques.

This amazing collaboration between Chef Ragil and Chef Denny is envisioned to showcase the indulgence of varieties of local spices and condiments. The duos have produced range of traditional cuisine that have been integrated with the evolving trend, resulting in the best of flavors that will be presented at “Jelajah Indonesia”. Some of the highlighted delights are Udang Kuah Kuning, Beef Carving Bumbu Rembige, Ayam Tangkap Aceh, Gelato Tempe Orek and Bubur Sumsum Brulee amongst the other choices that will satiate your palate.

For those of you who want to savor the taste of archipelago, “Jelajah Indonesia” will be commenced on 20 July to 29 July, 2018. Guests can enjoy the delicacies for lunch and dinner. The lunch buffet is priced at IDR 388,000 ++, whereas the dinner buffet is available at IDR 408,000 ++ on weekdays. During the weekends, the lunch and dinner buffet could be enjoyed at the cost of IDR 438,000 ++, inclusive of soft drinks, beer and flavored ice teas.

The main highlight of this event is the “Terang Bulan Gastronomy”, a special five-course set menu dinner that will be held on 28 July, 2018. “Terang Bulan Gastronomy” will take place at Wayra rooftop level 67 under the full moon, for limited number of seats. It is definitely a should-not-miss moment to be spent with your loved and dear ones. This special dinner is priced at IDR 898,000 ++ per person.

Another upcoming events which are a part of “Jelajah Indonesia” are “Ayo Makan” in August 2018, “Street Food Master” in September 2018 and “Local Artisan” in November 2018. They are indeed a magnificent journey of delights right from Sabang to Merauke.
