Nautilus Bar Takeover with Hope and Sesame
Calling all cocktail enthusiasts to join an exclusive two-day event at Nautilus Bar this coming July with the masterminds behind Hope and Sesame, Andrew Ho and Bastien Ciocca, for an explosive night.
On July 26, Andrew Ho and Bastien Ciocca will host a gastronomic journey with 7-course food inspired cocktails for an exclusive Bartender Table event. Partnering with the Culinary Team at the Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta, this memorable night will feature seven of Hope and Sesame’s most inspired cocktails, to be paired with classic Indonesian food sure to be mouth watering and fulfilling.
This event is in continuation of the success in Nautilus Take Over, a series where bartenders from different parts of the world come to the Nautilus Bar and feature some of their innovatively crafted cocktails for guests in Jakarta to experience and enjoy.
Andrew Ho and Bastien Ciocca comes from Hope & Sesame, a unique testing ground for cocktail innovation. Opened in March 2016, this is the first “speakeasy” cocktail bar in Guangzhou that is tucked away behind a traditional Cantonese cafe in the quaint neighbourhood of DongShanKou. The “speakeasy” bar features cocktails from liquid clarification and exploration of different ice to sous-vide infusions and re-distillation. Every quarter, Andrew Ho and Bastien Ciocca change their entire bar, from the cocktail menu to the uniform and even bar lighting, to give a fresh new life every couple months.
