The beautiful Italian restaurant by the pool, Dolce Vita, at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore is pleased to announce the appointment of Giorgio Maggioni as the hotel’s new Chef de Cuisine.

Dolce Vita will be ushering a new age with their new Chef de Cuisine, Giorgio Maggioni, to the team. Chef Giorgio grew up in Monza, Milan and has amassed more than 6 years of experience with a degree in culinary and hospitality. HI love of cooking was found when he was studying in Italy and he rose from the ranks through sheer hard work and tenacity in notable restaurants at luxurious hotels.

Prior to joining Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, Chef Giorgio was fine tuning his techniques at Armani Hotel and Address Boulevard Hotel in Dubai where he was part of the pre-opening team. His start in the industry was in France, he learnt the art of folding and creating pastries, while his fervent pursuit to excel has taken him to Switzerland for a year where he was exposed to developing talents and working with chefs of high pedigree.

Chef Giorgio Maggioni is ready to bring the flavours to Dolce Vita for guests to enjoy.

To satisfy his appetite for creativity and inspiration, he turns to books and Chef’s Table on Netflix. Outside of the kitchen, the candid chef spends his leisure time cycling and playing tennis, and on certain days, delving into the world of literature.

At Dolce Vita, Chef Giorgio will lead a talented team that continuously delivers impeccable dining experiences and is committed to staying abreast of the industry trends in order to push the envelope for new and seasonal Italian dishes.
