Unlike its name, Anji White Tea is actually processed as a green tea, and has borrowed its name from the shiny white of its buds with a touch of green. The tea leaves are harvested by hand with special skill and care before the colour gets darken and processed using traditional methods. The dried liaves show a fresh, clean and floral fragrance that perfectly matches the tea’s fresh and delicate taste. It is best made using cool water and even better with spring water to preserve the flavour. Also described as liquid silk, Anji White Tea that has been prepared correctly will show light apple green colour and extremely rich umami taste in your mouth.

This season Alila Anji is benefitting the moment for guests to experience Anji White Tea picking process accompanied why their Leisure Concierge. Walk through the countryside to a nearby tea plantation and feel like a local farmer when you learn deeper about tea. Farmers around you will show the skill of tea plucking and the whole process from making Anji White Tea from leaves to cups.
