The Savoury and Delicious Offerings for Chinese New Year at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong

Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong is ushering the year of the Pig with traditional and symbolic treats that will bring families together and enjoying the holiday season.

Handmade by the chef of three Michelin star Lung King Heen at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, the year of the Pig will bring tasty and delectable offerings not found anywhere else. The Chinese New Year Puddings represent togetherness, good luck and prosperity, an auspicious food that comes in many shapes and variations. This year, two new flavours will make their entrance that will have everyone wanting to taste more –water chestnut pudding with strawberry fruit tea and Lunar New Year pudding with coconut flower syrup.

These puddings made by Lung King Heen are perfect for gifting or serving at one’s own family reunion where these treats will disappear in no time.

Lunar New Year Pudding with Coconut Flower Syrup

Chinese Executive Chef Chan Yan Tak and his team is bringing a delightful twist to the traditional water chestnut pudding, infusing it with strawberry-lychee fruit tea. The green tea in the infusion adds a grassy balance to the sweet fruit for a refreshing, innovative dessert. The organic coconut flower syrup in the mixtures gives the overall experience a caramel-like aroma that makes a perfect complement to the steamed chewy rice cake.

The Chinese New Year Puddings can be sent as well wishes of luck and fortune with flavours such as Lunar New Year pudding with coconut flower syrup for HKD 400 per box; Water chestnut pudding with strawberry fruit tea for HKD 400 per box; Taro pudding with air dried meat for HKD 428 per box; and Abalone and turnip pudding with conpoy for HKD 488 per box. Guests can save 15% if puddings are ordered and payment is made before January 21, 2019.
