A Festive Holiday Season at The Upper House

The Upper House by Swire Hotels and Swire Restaurants is bringing in the Festive Season with Decadent Feasts and Heavenly Room Benefits that guests will enjoy for the next year.

The Upper House is kicking off their festive season with an array of gourmet offerings and special room benefits for the perfect winter getaway in Hong Kong that will surely be the stuff of dreams. Snuggle up with the Festive Season room package and enjoy a winter getaway.

Eat, drink and be merry at Café Gray Deluxe as Chef Gray Kunz serves up delectable modern European cuisine with a sprinkling of festive flavour. When taking a break during the afternoon, delve into sweet and savoury pastries inspired by flavours of the season at the Festive Afternoon Tea. Take a break with flavours such as Foie Gras Coupe with Mulled Wine Gelée and Gingerbread, Truffle and Mushroom Gougères, creamy Eggnog Cheesecake with Blueberry and Cassis, and Chocolate and Ginger Log with Blood Orange and Coconut.

Round the flavours out with classic tea pairings or add on a traditional Mulled Wine, Eggnog or a glass of mini-Lanson Brut Champagne. The Festive Afternoon Tea will be available from 1-31 December 2018, priced at HK$310 for one person and HK$560 for two people.

Let The Upper House help serve Christmas Dinner in style and delicious offerings for this year in Hong Kong.

On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Café Gray Deluxe will serve a delicate Velouté of Artichokes and Oscietra Caviar with Raviolini and Macquarie Island Sea Bass En Papillotte with Calamansi Beurre Blanc for an appetizer. Then, guests can choose between the robust Crisped Duck Breast “Calvados” or the succulent Beef Wellington with Truffle-Foie Gras Sauce for the main course. Wrap it all up with Tangerine Semifreddo with Nougatine-Cranberry Compôte or Chocolate Délice, Huckleberries with Gingerbread Crumble.

The Christmas Eve Dinner will be priced at 4-course for HK$1,550 per person, or HK$800 per person with a wine pairing from 6:00 – 8:00pm and at 6-course for HK$2,350 per person, or HK$1,000 per person with a wine pairing from 8:30pm – late.

The Christmas Day Lunch and Dinner will be priced at 4-course for HK$995 per person, or HK$800 per person with a wine pairing from 12:00 – 2:30pm and 6:00-1:30pm. A limited a la carte menu will be available as well for the dinner option.

For a family-style sharing menu, cosy up fireside in the Sky Lounge with a new menu for groups of eight or more. Savour the mouth-watering Coffee Rubbed Beef Striploin, Free Range Roast Chicken, delicious sides of Buttered Carrots, Braised Red Cabbage, Chestnuts and Pearl Onions. Chocolate and Passionfruit Baked Alaska completes the meal. The meal can be topped off with a wide selection of beverages including barrel-aged cocktails.

The menu will be priced from HK$600 per person, with a party of 8 people minimum, available from 20-30 December for lunch and dinner.

Enjoy a New Year’s Eve Countdown from Café Gray Deluxe, where guests can see an unforgettable firework show on the 49th level of the hotel. The party will continue in the Sky Lounge with music and drinks until late. Access to the party is priced at HK$600 per person including a glass of Champagne from 6pm – onwards.

Other Festive Season events at The Upper House include from 17 November until 31 December 2018, guests can enjoy room packages with rates starting form HK$5,000 per room per night. Stay two consecutive nights or more and receive HK$800 Café Gray Deluxe, priority table reservation at Café Gray Deluxe during the festive season, complimentary Welcome Drink at Café Gray Deluxe, roundtrip Airport Transfers for the price of one-way, complimentary room upgrade and late check-out.

The Upper House has also commissioned a one-of-a-kind Christmas tree for the third year in a row that will raise money for a local Hong Kong charity. The auction aims to reach bidders globally and surpass the funds raised in 2017 of HK$130,000. Opening for bidding starts on 1 December 2018.
