Alila Wuzhen and The Venice of the East

The ever growing Alila Hotels will open their third property in China by November this year with close proximity to all the sights Wuzhen has to offer.

Located just an hour’s drive from Hangzhou and 1.5 hours from Shanghai, Alila Wuzhen is a 5-minute drive from the famous Wuzhen Water Town. Alila Wuzhen is inspired by the town’s maze of quiet canals and ancient alleyways in a modern twist with 125 generously appointed suites, villas and pool villas all wrapped around private courtyards and intertwining waterways in a tranquil setting.

Designed by one of the most prominent architectural firms in China, GOA, the minimalist aesthetics laid out in Alila Wuzhen is an adaption of the heritage building inherent, south of the Yantze River. The architecture is a reimagination of traditional space reconstruction – of streets, lanes, courtyards and public areas – giving it new functionalities and purpose. A peaceful environment reigns in this private quarters and prevalent in every guest room.
