SugarSand is a feast for the senses and the soul. The newest beachside bar and restaurant is a beautiful mélange of colours, sounds and tastes that flow together harmoniously to create a fresh Bali experience. On the outside, SugarSand is a two-level creation located inside Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach overlooking the Indian Ocean, but once you step inside, there is more than meets the eye.

The structure of SugarSands reinvents Japanese elements and takes inspiration from Bali’s wild nature. Resembling a ‘jukung’ fishing boat, the idea is that the exterior reflects the connection to the surrounding land and sea.

SugarSand is the newest destination hotspot that will surely bring Bali into a new level when it comes to the perfect hang out spot for guests all around the world.

The unique interior lets guests lounge on the poolside daybeds, hang out near the beach bar and terrace if they want to get just their toes in the sand, and an open-air lounge is the perfect sunset spot while sipping on cocktails using the finest ingredients.

Supplying bold, vibrant and tasty Nikkei Cuisine, Australian-born Chef Nic Philip’s menu for SugarSand incorporates locally sourced ingredients from land and sea, while also wanting to create something new and fresh for Seminyak. A selection of ceviche and tiraditos, sushi, king prawns, whole fish and robata grill delicacies are highlights on the menu, positioned alongside essential ‘comfort food’ dishes, all with a SugarSand twist.

For an evening of drinks, Singaporean mixology maestro, Sufian Mahmoud, will present a modern re-imagination of cocktail history and culture using novel ingredients and visionary concoctions. Guests can also find Japanese inspired cocktails, sake and sochu, alongside a broad selection of spirits and a tantalizing collection of slow-cooked G&Ts.

Featuring a light and refreshing menu, SugarSand is ready to treat guests into a night of fun and excitement with food that will lift guests to get moving.

The team at SugarSand is ready to bring in a fun, personalised and expertly trained service to all guests who come with top island selectors bringing in a warm, colourful tapestry of sound from around the globe, through the ages and into the future. Kicking off as the soulful music destination is its Sunday vibes at SugarSand and its weekly Seventh Heaven afternoon poolside session. Inspired by Gwen Guthrie and Larry Levan’s hit 80s record of the same name, this party session sees an evolving lineup of seven Bali’s finest soulful selectors where each has one hour to spin the best soul music they can muster.
