Renaissance Xi’an Hotel comprises 396 rooms and suites with modern, curated furnishings and fixtures mixed with vibrant jewel tones and bold shapes. Touches of Chinese-inspired decor, such as figurines from games, are incorporated in a Tangram form in the headboard panel. The Presidential Suite, situated on the 26th floor and the largest room at the hotel, can serve as a luxurious residential suite or as a lounge for corporate use. The furniture pieces come together like a Tangram puzzle thus it can be moved around and transformed to suit the guest’s needs. Meetings and events can be held at the hotel’s pillar-less ballroom that resembles a Tangram puzzle and thus doubles as an artwork by itself and as an acoustic damper for the space.

Aldwin Ong, Design Principal of the Global Interior Architecture Design Firm Wilson Association, the company that designed Renaissance Xi’an Hotel, mentioned that the hotel serves as an ambassador for travellers to explore authentic Xi’an. Small, enticing, and surprising details are incorporated in every space for guests to find thus encouraging them to further explore the city.
