Building a Financially Responsible Future at Fairmont Jakarta
Starting the year right, Fairmont Jakarta held a financial planning seminar as part of its employee development efforts dedicated to the millennial generation of the hotel staff.
On 8 January 2019, Fairmont Jakarta held a financial planning seminar titled Millenial Money: Taking The Fear Factor Out of Investing, as part of its employment development efforts for the millennial generation of the hotel staff. This event was set up as a motivation to start planning on their financial future.
Collaborating on this event was Bank Mandiri and was presented by former model/presenter/motive star, Adrian Maulana, who is currently the Senior Vice President for Intermediary Business at PT Schroder Investment Management Indonesia. Investment specialist from Bank Mandiri, Diaz Aditrya Putra, also help guide the seminar along.
The seminar was a helpful tool for the millennial employee and throughout the seminar, the employees were reminded about the importance of investing in the early age to secure their financial future through reksadana. Participants learned that as people, we cannot rely on salary increase as inflation rates move faster than most people’s income. The event plays as a reminder for employees to find ways to make their money work for them and not the other way around. The most accessible alternative to this is to invest.
The participants were also remined that is nothing to be scared of about investing because in today’s world, investing does not necessarily require big capital, such as investing in properties or gold. Everyone can invest with whatever budget they can allocate.
The participants enjoyed a very informative and insightful seminar, which in turn can help them into their future.
