Touching Down from New York City, 3-Michelin Star Chef Jean-Georges and Son Cédric Open VONG Kitchen in SCBD

Jakarta’s bustling district in SCBD is about to get even busier with the opening of the long-anticipated New York grill style restaurant, VONG Kitchen. Leading the charge on this exciting adventure is one of the world’s most celebrated Chefs, Jean-Georges Vongerichten and his son Cédric.

At the young age of 29, Jean-Georges became the youngest chef to receive a four-star review in The New York Times. His Michelin-starred restaurant “Jean-Georges” in New York has been hailed as one of the best French restaurants in America. His son, Cédric was named Zagat’s Top 30 Up and Coming Chefs Under 30. As of today, Jean-Georges has a culinary empire that’s expanded from New York to Singapore before finally reaching Indonesia.

Cedric is a Bangkok-born chef who produces exciting recipes to shape a modern French-American menu.

VONG is a stylish, open-kitchen restaurant that seats up to 162 diners. An iconic New York style bar will overlook the buzz of Jakarta’s most dynamic and sophisticated district. The interior design of VONG, created by the award-winning Rockwell Group, and carefully selected music with a warm and personalized service will complete the palette for an unparalleled dining experience.

162 diners will be able to feel and taste an unparalleled dining experience in the heart of SCBD.

Even if the atmosphere is sensational, the food is the main star. With signature dishes, such as “Roasted Wild Mushrooms”, “House Dry Aged Australian Rib Eye”, and VONG’s “Truffle Pizza”, eating at VONG will be like no other dining experience.

The VONG Truffle Pizza comes with black truffles, egg and a blend of three selected cheeses.

It’s not just the entrées that are mouth-watering, but their desserts too. Creations such as “Molten Chocolate Cake” or “Salted Caramel Sundae” and pair it with innovative cocktails using the freshest ingredients or some of the world’s finest wines will perfectly complement the experience you will have at VONG.

A signature dish, the Roasted Wild Mushrooms. A selection of the finest mushrooms, pine nuts, Pecorino cheese and a sherry vinaigrette sauce.

Come and experience elegance at VONG Kitchen. It’s open for dinner from 6:00pm till midnight and Fridays and Saturdays are even open until 1:30am. If dinner is not your style, VONG will launch breakfast and lunch services in mid-April. So, book a table today and don’t miss out on an unparalleled journey.
