Delve into the wealth of Peruvian gastronomy brought to you by the Peruvian Chef, Jaime Arbulu, at InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah. From July 12 to 26, 2019, Chef Jaime will take you on an immersive gastronomic journey, ranging from exquisite Gala Dinner and Wine Pairing Dinner, cooking class as well as a specially curated Peruvian buffet station at Sugar & Spice.

Prior to his arrival at InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah, Chef Jaime was appointed as corporate chef and executive chef in companies, restaurants and hotels in South America. Furthermore, Chef Jaime was crowned as the winner of Chile Chef Sur and Carozzi Cup Tournament of the Year 2018, where he was included in 8 Best Chefs of the country amongst 2,500 chef that participated. With more than fifteen years of experience, Chef Jaime’s expertise allows him to combine different types of cuisines but yet still maintains the predominance of Peruvian flavours.

Grace your palate with Ceviche, the favourite dish of many in Peruvian cuisine. Made with freshly caught seafood steeped in onion, chilli, and lemon juice, the coastal sensation will appear as if it has been “cooked”. Close your sweet Peruvian dining experience with an equally sweet Tres Leches Cake. This dense, moist “three milks” cake is perforated and soaked in a mixture of three different milk products: evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and whole milk or heavy cream, hence the name Tres Leches.

Chef Jaime’s Peruvian gastronomic journey at InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah will be available from July 12 to 26, 2019. The journey will start with a Gala Dinner at The Studios on Friday, July 1, 2019 from 6.30 PM onwards and priced at IDR 888,000++ per person. A Lunch, Dinner as well as Brunch Buffet will be available at Sugar & Spice from July 13 to 26, 2019 with lunch priced at IDR 318,000++ per person, dinner at IDR 388,000++ per person and brunch at a price starting from IDR 388,000++ per person.

Enjoy a Wine Pairing Dinner at The Studios with your loved ones on Friday, July 19, 2019 from 6.30 PM onwards that is priced IDR 888,000++ per person. Learn about Peruvian Cuisine from the best of the best on special cooking classes with Chef Jaime. The cooking classes will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2018 from 9 AM to 11 PM, as well as on Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 4 PM to 6 PM. The class is available at a price of IDR 488,000 ++ per person and comes with an inclusive brunch/lunch/dinner buffet at Sugar & Spice.
