Al Nafoura in Le Meridien Jakarta Wins in Their Authentic Middle Eastern Flavours


Le Meridien Jakarta’s Middle Eastern Restaurant Al Nafoura brings the strong, authentic flavours of the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern to Jakarta.

Al Nafoura is situated in Le Meridien Jakarta, with their large windows outlooking a beautiful pool view. They aim to bring flavours from the Mediterranean and Middle East to Indonesia and cook up the most authentically delicious dishes.

Cold and hot mezzeh are definitely the way to start the meal. The cold mezzehs include Middle Eastern favourites such as hommos, tabouleh, baba ganoush and fatouche salad. Each mezzeh dish is the perfect partner to every main on the menu. 

The kitchen also has large wood-fired ovens in which an assortment of pita breads is baked. The delicious freshly made bread is served on the table to eat with mezzeh or to accompany your mains. Favourites on the menu include the lamb ouzi, which is braised lamb shank served with oriental rice, assorted nuts and yoghurt sauce. It is hands down the signature dish of the restaurant! Diners must also definitely must try the salamun ma zatoun, which is charcoal grilled salmon marinated with olive oil, cumin, zaatar and Middle Eastern spices served with roquette salad and mashed potatoes.

The braised lamb ouzi is slowly cooked to perfection, the meat falling apart as your cut into it for your first bite.

One of the Lebanese desserts available is baklava, which is layers of thin filo pastry baked to the point where its buttery crust melts in your mouth. Its filling is made with cashew, pistachio and is served with honey, strawberry sauce and fresh mint. Um Ali is another delicious dessert. Nice and creamy, it is a baked bread pudding with nuts, pistachio, raisins and fresh cream. These desserts are a must to complete the Middle Eastern dining experience.

There is also an outdoor terrace, a perfect place to enjoy the Shisha and Arabic coffee. On one side are large, comfortable couches, the best place for night time lounging while indulging in Shisha. On Friday and Saturday nights there is a traditional performance of Arabic belly dancers.

Also available are the Ottoman and Middle Eastern Barbecue dinner buffet on Saturday nights. The fresh and succulent seafood which includes delicious prawns, crab, fish and selections of chicken, lamb and beef are served. The made-to-order live cooking station showcases a tantalising array of delectable dining experiences with authentic cold and hot mezzeh.
