Lyon in Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta is participating in Goût de France, a worldwide celebration of French food with a special exclusive four-course meal.

Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta has always offered a high standard of Indonesian hospitality and service. This is no different when it comes to their restaurants, each of which provide the highest standard of their respective cuisines.

Lyon in Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta is once again participating in the Goût de France, translated as the ‘Good France,’  initiative. This initiative is to celebrate French gastronomy all over the world with over 3,000 chefs and five continents participating. This world-wide event was first initiated by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and Michelin-starred Alain Ducasse in 2015 to spread the availability of French-inspired menus all over the world, set on a specific starting date every year.

This dish called “Pineapple” is a refreshing dessert with coconut lemongrass Blanc manger and exotic sorbet – the perfect end to the course!

This year’s edition of Goût de France spotlights the Provence region of France. This region’s cuisine is inspired by its warm Mediterranean climate and abundant seafood. On the menu at Lyon is Daube Provençal, a traditional beef stew with Herbes de Provence, and Bouillabaise, the classic seafood dish of Marseille. For a sweet ending to the satisfying meal, guests can choose between the exquisite Nougat Glacier with roasted apple and orange confit or Pineapple, a refreshing dessert with coconut lemongrass Blanc manger and exotic sorbet.

Bouillabaise is a classic seafood dish from Marseille. It is a great representation of Mediterranean flavours and the abundance of seafood in Provence.

Located on the second floor of Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta, Lyon offers two elegant and unique private dining rooms that can accommodate up to 14 guests – perfect for an intimate dinner or even a cocktail party. The Goût de France 2019 four-course set menu will be available at Lyon from the 21st to 28th of March this year, and it is priced at IDR 420,000++ per person.
