Taste the exquisite flavours of Chianina Beef with Simone Fracassi of Macelleria Fracassi’s Tuscan Chianina Beef at Cucina by Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel.

For the very first time in Hong Kong, Simone Fracassi of Macelleria Fracassi – famed Italian butcher known as the “King of Chianina Beef” – presents Tuscan Chianina Beef at Cucina by Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel. Be prepared to be whisked away on an indulgent gastronomic journey to Tuscany with seven Chianina Beef dishes cooked in Tuscan-style that are specially prepared by Chef de Cuisine of Cucina Andrea Delzanno.

Simone will showcase Chianina IGP certified beef from Casentino, in north-eastern Tuscany,  a forested valley surrounded by Apennine Mountains and located on the highest part of the Arno Valley. Surrounded by nature and spirituality, Chianina Beef is renowned for its refined quality and nutritional value. Being one of the best cows in the world, and is praised for being lean with extremely fine marbling and a tender, flavourful taste, Chianina beef will surely be a one of a kind experience.

Simone Fracassi of Macelleria Fracassi is the famed Italian butcher known as the “King of Chianina Beef”. He is also listed as Italy’s top 20 butchers by the renowned Scatti Di Gusto.

Taste the exquisitely delicate flavour of Chianina beef by consuming it raw in The Butcher Beef Tartare with Raspberry, Burrata Cheese and Black Truffle. Prepared right in front of the guests by Simone himself, the beef is finely chopped until it turns tender and smooth. Paired with refreshing raspberry and burrata cheese, as well as the aromatic flavours of black truffle, each ingredient stands out against the next resulting in an exquisitely unique dish that can be enjoyed at the price of HK$308.

Feel the tenderness and experience the rich taste of Chianina beef in the classic Italian favourite Handmade Fettuccine with Beef Ragout and Seasonal Mushrooms. Priced at HK$368, the classic dish is a must-try-dish that is recommended by Chef Andrea.

One of Tuscany’s signature dishes, and the place where Chianina meat is often used the most is the Grilled T-bone Steak in Florentine Style. The butter-like steak is grilled in Florentine style with Tuscan oil and aromatic sea salt which in turn brings out the amazing natural flavours and texture of the fine Chianina beef. This classic and exquisite Tuscan dish can be enjoyed at the price of HK$1,488.
