Feast to your heart’s delight with La Hiki’s premium west O`ahu steak experience that is available five nights a week at Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina. Inspired by the Hawaiian phrase Mai Ka La Hiki A Ka La Kau – meaning “from sunrise to sunset” – La Hiki offers two dynamic dining experiences: La Hiki Kitchen, with a lavish daily buffet from 6 to 10 AM daily, and La Hiki Steak, featuring prime cuts, classic cocktails and island-inspired fare.

At the helm of both endeavours is farm-to-table pioneer Chef Simeon Hall Jr., an island-born chef committed to local sourcing and what he terms “social gastronomy.” “This simply means food is not wasted,” explains Chef Hall, “and the farmers and what they produce inspire what is on the menu and how the food is prepared and served, not the other way around.”

The restaurant retains its hyper local commitment to farmers and purveyors, adding grass fed Kunoa Cattle Co. beef to a selection of USDA prime cuts, Colorado lamb and A5 Australian wagyu. Chef Hall uses slow cooking, smoking, curing and preserving techniques to bring extraordinary flavour to house specialties including a sizzling lechon kewali Filipino tomato salad prepared table side, maili moa huli huli chicken and Kunoa beef short rib tender enough to cut with a butter knife.

A signature Butcher’s Block designed for four features five premium cuts, six chef-made sauces (béarnaise, oxtail demi-glace, chimichurri, fresh horseradish, WAFU steak sauce and a red wine reduction) with a choice of three sides. Grass fed Kunoa Cattle Co. beef features prominently in the menu, in a daily market cut, an elegant beef tartare (prepared tableside) and an outrageously good Kunoa beef burger, prepared with a house recipe Chef will not divulge.

Seared cauliflower steak and heirloom Kahumana Farms carrots with mac nut pesto are flavour-rich vegan alternatives for those opting away from the carnivore’s delight. Close the night perfectly with a selection of La Hiki’s classic cocktails such as La Hiki’s Bold Fashioned are concocted with Ko Hana barrel aged koho rum, sugar cane, bitters, and served smoked with kiawe.

An extensive list of wines by the glass and local and Japanese craft beers list round out La Hiki’s culinary odyssey, topped by a delicious banana flambé, infused with the favour of Ko Hana rum, its sweetness cut by the delicious tart of Hawaiian apple bananas.
