Fundraising Gala Dinner Linens for Life at Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort Celebrates Creativity
Revel in a fashion show of ready-to-wear collections from discarded hotel linens by Women’s Street Center as well as the silent auction in the fundraising Gala Dinner this March 23rd 2019.
Driven by Accor’s initiative to provide a second life to discarded hotel linens as well as supporting poor communities and empowering them for a better future, Accor Hotels Bali & Lombok unveils its Linens for Life initiative that was carried out in support of The Street Center founded by Bali Life Foundation.
Aiming to take women and children off the street, the foundation provides them with education, schooling and activities such as how to repurpose discarded hotel linens, to equip them for a new and better life. The newly created “Works of art” by Women’s Street Center will be showcased exclusively through a spectacular “Passion” themed fashion show and a fundraising Gala Dinner event on March 23rd, 2019 at Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort.
Enjoy the fashion show of ready-to-wear collections by alumni of notable fashion designer Susan Budihardjo, whose Lembaga Pengajaran Tata Busana Susan Budihardjo has emerged talented designers in the like of Sebastian Gunawan, Eddy Betty, Andrian Gan and many more. Also participate in the silent auction hosted by Melissa Karim where all proceeds will go to Women’s Street Center by Bali Life Foundation. A specially prepared regular or vegetarian 4-course set dinner will be served to accompany the fashion show and the auctions.
Revel in the delicious 4-course set menu comprising an amuse bouche of Crab cake lilit on lemongrass served with sweet rujak sauce and an entrée of ginger citrus prawns with red radish, avocado, coriander & chili salad with sesame seeds and shiso dressing. Next, delight in the main course of turmeric and galangal infused chicken roulade, lemongrass purple potato puree coconut and spinach, Balinese sambal crust and betutu sauce. End the meal with pandan and coconut anglaise, green apple jelly, caramelised puffed rice and coconut sorbet as the sweet dessert.
Or opt for the vegetarian version of the 4-course set menu that consists of corn fritter, tomato relish and nut cracker as the amuse-bouche and a salad of crispy cheese, red radish, avocado, coriander and chili salad with shiso dressing. Enjoy the satisfying main course that is Botok Tahu comprising grill tofu in banana leaf, long bean salad, spice pumpkin cake and lemongrass sauce before ending your meal with the delectable dessert of pandan and coconut anglaise, green apple jelly, caramelised puffed rice and coconut sorbet.
The Saturday, March 23rd 2019 Gala Dinner at Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach resort will start from 18.30 to 22.000 with Black Tie dress code. The Gala Dinner can be enjoyed for IDR 10,000,000 net per table of 10 persons or IDR 1,200,000 net per person.
