VONG Kitchen Serves Up Unique Twists on the Classic Martini

VONG Kitchen’s team of mixologists is serving up a unique range of Martinis for all thirsty Jakartans at Alila SCBD Jakarta.

A classic cocktail, the Martini is very well-known to bar goers. It has been modified many times from its original recipe of gin and vermouth, to Marilyn Monroe’s now infamous signature drink of the Espresso Martini, to other variations; it is definitely a timeless staple at any bar in the world.

To celebrate this all-American classic, renowned French-American restaurant VONG Kitchen will once again be turning the heads of many Jakartans by throwing a very special event that will please Martini lovers across the city.

The Kemangi Martini blends tequila, Luxardo Maraschino, lime, pandan syrup, and basil leaves for a fresh taste.

Starting on this coming Wednesday. the 13th of March, VONG Kitchen’s mixologists are serving a special Martini menu that are inspired by Western flavours and local tastes. To spice up the easily customisable drink, local herbs, spices, flowers and fruits will be incorporated to take the drink to the next level.

On the menu is the Manggis Martini, which mixes mangosteen-infused whisky, Antica Formula and tamarind. On the other hand, the Molen Martini is a remarkable concoction that consists of rum, coconut cream, De Kuyper Banana, and palm sugar syrup. For a drink reminiscent of traditional Indonesian desserts, try the Kemangi Martini. This drink blends tequila, Luxardo Maraschino, lime, pandan syrup, and basil leaves.

The Kalimantan Martini will please coffee lovers, containing vodka-infused coffee, Cinzano Bianco, and chocolate orange.

Those who enjoy Marilyn Monroe’s infamous Espresso Martini will enjoy VONG Kitchen’s take on it. The Kalimantan Martini has even more depth of flavour than its Western counterpart. It contains vodka-infused coffee, Cinzano Bianco, and chocolate orange. Rounding up the selection of Martinis are the Hibiscus Rose Martini, comprising of rosella-infused gin, triple sec, lime hibiscus syrup, an egg white, and the Rambutan Frappé, which is made of rambutan-infused absinthe, Frangelico, lemon, and sugar.

When you have your drink, stay around and enjoy your Martini; when the clock strikes ten, a DJ will take the floor with a live set at the Solarium. So put on your dancing shoes, drink up at VONG Kitchen, enjoy the music, and soak up the good vibes.
