Rosewood Hotels and Resorts Makes Debut in Thai Capital With Rosewood Bangkok

Rosewood Bangkok is the latest from the Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, an intimate, ultra-luxury hotel in the heart of the Thai capital that embodies the country’s rich country through contemporary design.

It will be nearly impossible not to notice the stunning new addition to the Bangkok skyline: a striking landmark situated on Ploenchit Road; the heart of the city’s prime central business and retail district. This is Rosewood Bangkok – an intimate, ultra-luxury hotel bringing its signature A Sense of Place philosophy to the Thai capital.

Rosewood Bangkok opened its doors to the public only at the end of March, with designs that embody not only Thailand’s rich culture but combined with cutting-edge creative and contemporary design ethos of the dynamic capital. The 30-storey standalone property is comprised of two graceful, connected structures, which have been masterfully combined to create the city’s new design icon.

Rosewood Bangkok is situated within an enclave of embassies and sleek new office towers, surrounded by Thai fashion designer boutiques and is just steps from Central Embassy, the capital’s most luxurious upscale shopping mall. Photo courtesy of Rosewood Bangkok.

The property’s contemporary form is inspired by the wai, which refers to the famous Thai gesture of greeting. In fact, the modern silhouette is said to have been a creative expression of the Thai spirit. Within this architectural marvel is where one would find Thai culture emphasised by specific elements, such as exquisite water features within the hotel that are a tribute to Bangkok – a city built on water.

The Bangkok location makes this Rosewood Hotels & Resorts®’ 27th property in its growing global network, as well as the brand’s second destination in Thailand. Rosewood Bangkok positions itself as a gateway to its sister Southeast Asian properties, which are located in Phuket; Phnom Penh, Cambodia; and Luang Prabang, Laos.

Rosewood Bangkok features a pool oasis in the heart of the Thai capital. The hotel’s interior waterfall produces a soothing ambient sound that replaces city noise, a vertical garden wall is further enhanced with surrounding foliage, and a whirlpool that overlooks the cityscape beyond.

Rosewood Bangkok pays homage to Rosewood brand’s origins as a modern-day aristocratic manor, with visitors arriving into the urban sanctuary via a private driveway signalling their entry to a world seemingly far removed from the hustle and bustle of the metropolis. The hotel seeks to give a sense of intimacy and privacy throughout guests’ entire journey, delivering the brand’s signature blend of stylish comfort and inspired design through a décor of rich materials and finishes in a soothing, neutral color palette.

Guests will find spacious terraces, abundant natural light and city skyline vistas seamless meld with Thai contemporary artworks throughout the hotel, and within the guestrooms a fuse of elegant and modern interiors merged with panoramic views of the city. Its facilities include an indoor-outdoor saltwater lap pool that creates a zen-like sense of a tropical destination in the heart of the metropolis, as well as Sense, A Rosewood Spa, that occupies the entire sixth floor.

Nan Bei, meaning South and North respectively in Mandarin, is Rosewood Bangkok’s signature restaurant – a buzzy, stylish destination for Chinese dining.

The hotel also features four innovative restaurant and bars: an all-day dining venue in Lakorn European Brasserie, a signature Chinese restaurant in Nan Bei, a stylish speakeasy-style bar in the hotel’s highest floor in Lennon’s, and Bangkok’s first upscale organic café set within a luxury hotel in G&O.

With Thai spirit infused into every aspect of the Rosewood Bangkok experience, guests are sure to discover creativity, culture and exceptional hospitality in the new hotel. For more information and to make your reservations, visit https://www.rosewoodhotels.com/en/bangkok.
