Fairmont Jakarta Named Hamish Lindsay as its New Executive Chef

Hamish Lindsay is recently appointed as Fairmont Jakarta’s new Executive Chef. Known for his creativity and passion for culinary art, Chef Hamish will lead the talented and skillful culinary team of Fairmont Jakarta and add new twists and surprises to provide the finest in gastronomy for all guests.

Before starting his career in Indonesia, Chef Hamish, a native of New Zealand, had worked in several noteworthy restaurants around Sydney and New Zealand including the world-renowned Hugo’s Group restaurant which acclaimed seven Sydney Morning Herald Chef’s Hat and Best Restaurant in Australia award.

Chef Hamish then moved to Bali and spent more than seven years working as the Executive Chef for the luxurious Aman Group Resort before joining the Lifestyle Retreats as the Area Executive Chef for a few of their luxurious resorts. And before joining the Fairmont Jakarta team, Chef Hamish spent a few years working as the Corporate Chef at Ismaya Group where he oversaw the culinary operation of the group’s upscale dining establishments such as SKYE, Gia, Mr. Fox and Social House.

Bringing over his two decades of culinary experience, Chef Hamish will oversee Fairmont Jakarta’s entire kitchen and banquet operations including the award-winning VIEW restaurant, Indonesian fine-dining 1945 Restaurant, all-day-dining restaurant – Spectrum, famous afternoon tea lounge – Peacock Lounge, Italian restaurant – Sapori Deli, Barong Bar and K22 Bar.

Chef Hamish will also be responsible for developing a range of innovative culinary concepts that are sure to delight guests. With Chef Hamish’s passion, expertise and creativity for culinary art, guests can expect an elevated gastronomic experience at Fairmont Jakarta.
