Throughout his 24-year experience in the hospitality industry, Markus always goes beyond expectations. A highly motivated and all-around hotel executive with strong inter-departmental and operational skills, he has a proven record of accomplishment, including opening and resort experience, at five-star luxury hotels across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

When Markus was at Shangri-La Hotel, Nanchang, the hotel won five ‘Best Hotel Opening of the Year’ awards from various media and ranked number one (1) on TripAdvisor. After achieving great success in Nanchang, he was transferred to Shangri-La Hotel, Xian, where he stayed from July 2016 to May 2019. Later on, he joined Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta on 5 August 2019.
