Break Your Fast With Kilo Jakarta’s Unique Iftar Menu

Kilo Jakarta presents their special Ramadan promotions with a unique flair unseen in other restaurants in Jakarta – do not forget to try Eat Vacation’s favourite squid ink rice while you’re there!

In the lounge, there is a Ramadan Buffet where you can break your fast with friends and family. These dishes stray from a ‘typical’ ta’jil, but that definitely adds to the intrigue of breaking your fast at Kilo Jakarta. The one Indonesian dish is a Balinese urap, which is a salad dish of steamed vegetables mixed with seasoned and spiced grated coconut for dressing for a fresh start to your iftar. An even fresher option is the sliced fresh fruit that is prepared.

Heavier options for the ta’jil are mildly spicy grilled chicken bulgogi, braised lamb shank, tofu vegetable curry and one of the Eat Vacation’s all-time favourite dishes, squid ink rice. This ta’jil buffet is available from 5pm until 8pm and is priced at IDR 350,000++ per person, with a minimum booking of 20 people.

The Seafood Tuturuga is the Kilo Jakarta culinary team’s take on the traditional Manado dish.

For those that want to have their full meal at Kilo Jakarta past the ta’jil, there is also a special breakfasting menu. Focusing mainly on Asian flavours, some delicious options are the spicy duck & pomelo with nam yam, green papaya and chili hoisin. Also very sumptuous are the seafood tuturga of market fish, prawns, squid, cassava leaves as well as the slow braised beef cheek with a spicy sweet glaze, mashed potatoes and kemangi.

Kilo Jakarta’s spin on Indonesian dishes include the crispy eggplant with tempura eggplant, balado, and szechuan pepper as well as an accompaniment of urap, sambal, and white rice. For a sweet drink, the culinary team has prepared Kilo’s take on kolak, which includes pumpkin, dango, and pandan. This drool-worthy breakfasting menu is available from 5pm until 8pm and priced at IDR 300,000++ per person with a minimum of two people. For more information about these two menu, or to make a reservation, email reservations.jkt@kilokitchen.com or call +62 812 9975 2522.
