Chef Kazuhiro Hamamoto Brings a “Soulful Feast” to OKU This April

Experience a “Soulful Feast” by Chef Kazuhiro Hamamoto at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta’s OKU this coming April.

OKU at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta is known for its modern take on Japanese dishes, where Chef Kazumasa Yazawa combines traditional flair within the Zen-like atmosphere. Fresh seafood served in the restaurant is imported twice a week from Tokyo’s Tsukiji Fish Market, in order to deliver the freshest and top-notch quality seafood-based items for diners.

The Japanese premium restaurant is an ideal space to dine in, whether for business lunches, special-occasion dinners or even as an after-work destination. The Zen-inspired setting brings diners back to the feel of Japanese authenticity, while the high-quality dishes will transport you in an East Asian cuisine indulgence unlike any other.

This coming April, OKU will host a special “Soulful Feast” by Chef Kazuhiro Hamamoto from Singapore’s Ki-sho Restaurant. Chef Kazuhiro brings with him a wealth of Japanese culinary flair from Michelin-starred restaurants abroad, and crafted Kaiseki through a series of seasonally inspired Omakase menus, each deeply rooted in Japan’s rich tradition.

Chef Kazuhiro Hamamoto moved to Tokyo in his mid-twenties, where he spent more than a year learning the art of sushi making in Tsukiji market restaurants.

Chef Hamamoto is a native of Kyoto, and went to school at the Kyoto Culinary Art College by Taiwa Gakuen Education Inc., the city’s only culinary school. His early career was spent honing his kaiseki skill in Kyoto. In 2013, he joined Ki-sho Restaurant in Singapore as Resident Chef; the restaurant was named one of Singapore’s “Best New Restaurants” on CNN Travel less than a year after it opens.

In Jakarta, diners will get to taste Chef Hamamoto’s signature 7-course set dinner, which will be served with Vina Albali wine pairing, on April 4, 2019 at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta’s OKU. Enjoy this special food for the soul at this minimalist, yet authentic establishment, where you get to immerse in the laid-back jazzy vibes while enjoying a unique, unforgettable dining experience.

Don’t miss out on Chef Kazuhiro Hamamoto’s signature 7-course dinner at OKU. For further information and to make your reservations, call +622123583896, send a Whatsapp message to +628170070059, or email
