COMO Shambhala to Develop Wellness Dishes For On-Board Meal Services With Singapore Airlines

The next time you’re on board a Singapore Airlines flight, you might get a little taste of COMO Shambhala’s award-winning wellness cuisine, which combines healthy eating and pleasurable gastronomy to enhance the in-flight dining experience for travellers. When the exhaustion of air travel might diminish your energy, the new range of food and beverage offerings might just be what you need to rejuvenate.
Singapore-based wellness brand COMO Shambhala, which forms part of the COMO Group, recently announced the new partnership with Singapore Airlines, which would entail introduction of aforementioned wellness cuisine on selected Singapore Airlines flights, beginning the second half of this 2019. However, that’s only the initial phase of the partnership, as future collaborations are in line and may extend to on-board amenities and in-flight entertainment content relating to wellness, among others.
The co-developed wellness dishes will progressively be made available in Singapore Airlines’ Book the Cook service, on top of a new wellness menu featuring specially curated dishes that will be introduced across all classes. The dishes will use seasonal and sustainable ingredients, each with their own nutrition profile. The style of cooking aims to inspire the palate through memorable and delicious flavours.
Enhancing wellness cuisine in travel might seem like a forward idea at a glance, but it is undoubtedly in line with ongoing healthy trends that the world is witnessing today.
