Visit the Bvlgari Resort Bali to experience a once in a lifetime experience of a feast prepared by two Michelin-starred chefs: Chef Thitid Tassanakajohn and Chef Luca Fantin.

Bvlgari Resort Bali proudly announces an exclusive event featuring visiting chef Thitid Tassanakajohn (Chef Ton) from Le Du in Bangkok and Luca Fantin from Il Ristorante – Luca Fantin in Tokyo on Friday, 28th June 2019.

This is the first in a series of gastronomic events, where a  rare and unique collaboration features two Michelin-starred restaurants and celebrated winners of this year’s Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants renowned for their cuisine style, philosophy and craftsmanship.

Raised on the flavours of his mother and grandmother’s home-cooked Thai dishes, Chef Ton, pursued his dreams at the Culinary Institute of America, and worked at Eleven Madison Park, The Modern, and Jean Georges in New York.

Chef Ton was heavily inspired by his grandmother’s cooking. He journeyed to USA to pursue his dream as a chef and graduated from The Culinary Institute of America with the highest scores in his class.

Returning to Thailand with a vision to elevate Thai cuisine, he now runs the kitchens at Le Du and Baan. Le Du is named after the Thai word for “seasons”, which reflects Chef Ton’s focus on traditional flavours and local seasonal ingredients influenced by progressive French techniques. His restaurant is awarded with one Michelin star in 2019 and a rank of 20 in this year’s “Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants”.

Luca Fantin is the very first Italian chef in Japan awarded with one Michelin star and ranked numer 18 in this year’s “Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants”, will showcase his interpretation of contemporary Italian cuisine inspired by the land of Bali. His dishes reflect the attention to details and respect for the top-quality ingredients available in-season that are elaborated with refined techniques and great creativity.

Luca Fantin and Chef Ton will harmoniously create an exclusive 8-course dinner combining contemporary Italian and modern Thai cuisine using the finest ingredients including local and organic produce paired with selection premium wines in the intimate setting overlooking the Indian Ocean.
