The Breathtaking Ulu Cliffhouse Opens Its Doors In Uluwatu

Ulu Cliffhouse, the clifftop playground nestled in Uluwatu, Bali, is set to shake things up within the island’s beach club offering.  Its beach club scene offers world-class F&B presentations and the cliff edge rock bar is a creative residence for music artists

Located beautifully in a beautiful cliff and surrounded by the most natural Bali environment, Ulu Cliffhouse playground showcases an infinity pool, a music recording studio, an art space and food and drinks, from its open-air restaurant to cliff side rock bar hanging provocatively over the waves. Tipping its hat to the surfers’ paradise location in Uluwatu, Ulu Cliffhouse also features a resident surfboard shaper.

Featuring jaw-dropping views of the ocean, Ulu Cliffhouse is set to be home to Bali’s creative crowd, as well as being a space for wanderlusters to unwind or let loose. Designed by Shed London and Bali’s Design Assembly, the beach club draws on the iconic 1950’s Palm Springs aesthetic, enhancing its raw environment with modern edges, effortless chic and youthful cheek.

Led by world-renowned Peruvian Chef Diego Muñoz, Ulu Cliffhouse’s culinary offering goes beyond the typical beach club menu by incorporating the influence of Diego’s travels around the world and Bali’s local environment at the same time. The fresh, fun and locally sourced offeringseflect Chef Diego’s ability to integrate culturally diverse flavours, resulting in a menu that includes a raw bar showcasing his personal take on ceviches, tiraditos, and an array of other culinary delights.

For poolside gazing and serious people watching, the centerpiece of Ulu Cliffhouse’s upper level is the infinity pool. With a capacity of over 300 and its clean lines, guests are invited to bask in loungers arranged in sets around the pool, with hammocks strung between palms and beds of lush greenery. After taking a dip in Ulu Cliffhouse’s pool, guests can choose from a formidable menu of beverages. Ulu Cliffhouse’s drink makers offer in-house cold pressed juices including herbs and vegetables from the area, body tonics, kombucha and Jamu made locally in the Bukit peninsula, there is something for everyone.

The rock bar, half way down the cliff is accessible via a winding stairway, where guests can sip on tiki-style cocktails as they revel in the best sundowner the island has to offer. When the tide is low, patrons will also have unbridled access to bar’s very own private beach cove where turquoise seawater meets a fine, sandy shoreline.
